Off the back of an exciting year that has seen them support the likes of Ball Park Music and The Buoys, indie pop/rock quartet Sunsick Daisy are now gearing up to launch their highly-acclaimed, debut EP “Breathe In… Breathe Out” at Lion Arts Factory on the 6th of January.
Joined by Adelaide’s beloved noise rockers Placement and Naarm/Melbourne quintet Fan Girl, Sunsick Daisy will bring their unique ‘whammy dream verb’ sound that has seen them praised as “majestic and imperial” by Backseat Mafia and “beautiful, beautiful fuzz” by triple j’s Lucy Smith.
From the haunting, phaser-driven swells of ‘I’m Coming Home’ to the intricate guitar noodles scattered on most recent single, ‘Underwater’, Sunsick Daisy display a level of musicianship far beyond their years on “Breathe In… Breathe Out”, facing battles with mental health and insecurities head on and using their unique brand of celestial dream pop to spark a collective resilience.
This night will certainly be one to remember, you don’t want to miss out!!!
