Crossing The Great Divide Again – A tribute to Powderfinger & Silverchair

Sat 16 Dec @ 7:30 pm

On September 8, 2007, Powderfinger and Silverchair embarked on a national tour. Every ticket for the entire tour was sold within 3 hours.

In 1999 POWDERFINGER kicked off Triple J’s Hottest 100 with “Passenger.” At the end of the same day “These Days” was crowned #1. From August of 2000 we started hearing “My Happiness” constantly and Odyssey Number Five exploded everywhere! For the past 22 years, members of THESE DAYS have savoured everything that Powderfinger have released (since ’96 anyway) and have carefully recreated the music that formed the fabric of our misspent youths!

SILVERCHAIR came crashing into our lives with the anguished vocals of “Tomorrow”, the menacing bass of “Israel’s Son” and the pounding drums of everything on the albums Frogstomp and Freak Show. They had international success with 4 songs reaching the top 20 on the US Billboard charts, 2 of those reaching the top 5. With a sound and style developing further and further into their career FREAKSHOW concentrate on reproducing the hits from Silverchair’s earlier albums.

The energy of these live performances are absolutely deliberate!
