Celebrating the release of their latest singles, singer songwriters Annie Higgins and Lucy Burke are set to hit the stage at the premier Adelaide music venue, The Wheatsheaf on Saturday 28 October.
Adelaide based singer/songwriter Annie Higgins will be performing with her band, who were born and bred in Adelaide. Annie draws her inspiration from the Brand New Heavies, Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Wonder, Uncle Jed, Dido, Daft Punk, Jamiroquai, Bob Marley and Belinda Carlisle; a fusion of her love of classic acid jazz, funk, pop and reggae. With her debut album ‘Pot of Gold’ forthcoming, she will share her groove based melodies from this fun and sassy collection.
Sydney-based singer songwriter Lucy Burke will be touring Adelaide as part of her ‘On the Edge’ tour supported by her stellar band. Influenced by such artists as The Beatles, Norah Jones, Portishead, Taylor Swift and Eva Cassidy, Lucy’s sound is diverse. Be delighted with songs from her music catalogue as well as cover songs adapted to her unique acoustic pop jazz style.
