Iron Horse
Sat 9 Dec @ 7:30 pm

Ironhorse is a South Australian Blues Rock Band that has toured throughout the country with their brand of distinctly Australian “Foot Stomping Rock & Roll” and Blues Ballads. Having secured a large following in SA they began touring throughout Australia increasing their fan base nationally.
The band recorded their debut Album Lost Weekend which charted at No.5 on the Commercial Charts in Adelaide (SAFM & 5KA Charts 5th June 1986) and No. 54 Nationally (the Kent Report).
The success of the album saw Ironhorse playing many venues including Melbourne’s Festival Hall, The Palais St Kilda, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Thebarton Theatre and many others throughout Australia.
After 13 years and over a 1400 gigs under their belt at the time they decided to slow the touring down. They have performed far less over the years but have continued to write and record. The band gets out several times a year to perform and shows have included opening for high profile international artists such as the likes of BB King (on two separate tours) , Joe Walsh, Deep Purple, Johnny Winter, The Fabulous Thunderbird’s, Canned Heat as well as sharing the bill with many of Australia’s rock music icons. The band features the original line-up and their own shows to this day continue to be sell-out events, a fitting testimony to the band’s legacy of fans.
