Their sound channels the stylistic dynamism of Black Country, New Road or glass beach with the rhythmic power and apocalyptic gaze of The Smile, with a smattering of Monika Roscher’s penchant for layered arrangements and blasts of cataclysmic atonality.

𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘄: Neenaw, an original project formed by multi-award-winning vocalist and instrumentalist Courteney Hooper, is a playful amalgam of alternative folk, baroque pop and contemporary jazz. Her wholehearted compositions traverse the broad spectrum of genre and human experience, drawing from auto-biographical introspection, absurdist dream re-tellings, and a fascination with bugs. It is this idiosyncratic, sincere expression that makes Neenaw a refreshing addition to the Adelaide music scene.
