For 25 years, DJ TR!P has made Cranker Wednesdays a cornerstone of Adelaide’s nightlife. On February 26, 2025, celebrate a quarter-century of dance-floor memories, legendary requests, and the music that’s made this night an iconic tradition.
Affectionately dubbed “the world’s friendliest DJ” by the Cranker, DJ TR!P has taken song requests from everyone—from locals to members of Marilyn Manson’s band.
His unique ability to read the crowd has earned him praise from The New York Times, calling him “one hip beast,” and from David Walsh of MONA, who says: “When he is playing, I stay out so long and dance so much that it’s fair to say the bar benefits. I’ve noticed I’m not the only one having fun. I think everyone else in the world is, too.”
From underground clubs in Tokyo to theatres on Broadway, DJ TR!P has shared the stage with icons like Kraftwerk, De La Soul, M.I.A., Kool Keith, Neil Voss (Tetrisphere composer, N64), Ridge Forrester (The Bold and the Beautiful), and Brian Ritchie (Violent Femmes).
His global journey, which has spanned legendary festivals, including Dark MOFO, WOMADelaide, Big Day Out, MONA FOMA, and Sydney Opera House, has connected him with music lovers worldwide.
