Early History of Female Blues

This show presents a female perspective of the blues through songs made famous by female artists.


Performed by a bespoke band of female artists who have come together for what is a one-off event it’s your opportunity to see and hear some fine Adelaide based singers and instrumentalists perform blues songs made famous by female artists and why they are relevant in the history of blues.

Opening act for the night is a band comprising alumni from Adelaide Roots & Blues Association – Youth In Blues program which is proudly supported by City of Prospect. This show is an opportunity to see local exponents of the blues music genre presenting music with relevance and a youth group who are part of the future of live music in South Australia.
