FOURSIGHT 002: ALEXANDER FLOOD

On the second night of FOURSIGHT for 2023, we bring to you internationally acclaimed drummer and bandleader Alexander Flood. Since his first release in 2020, Alex has recorded and performed as a bandleader on a further two full-length albums, as well as toured Europe alongside legendary artist Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah. His third and newest full-length release OSCILLATE features stellar artists Àbáse, Horatio Luna and Paulo Cedraz, recorded at famous Berlin recording studio JRS. Off the back of his 2022 European tour, as well as performance in WOMAdelaide Festival, Alex will bring to FOURSIGHT a selection of jazz-doof from this new upcoming album.
OSCILLATE releases under Jakarta Records on May 12th.
Alongside Alex’s live performance will be DJ sets from established Kaurna-based selectors Nantale (DJ) and Skorpion King (DJ).

FOURSIGHT is a Kaurna-based collective hosting parties with a focus on blending DJs with performances from Antipodean artists looking to push the boundaries of live soul, jazz and improvised dance music. Inspired by the sprawling scenes of Melbourne’s own future-soul and jazz doof sounds, as well as the resurgence of London’s broken-beat underground, FOURSIGHT aims to bring a fresh and unique selection of dance music to its events.
