Hailing from Adelaide, South Australia, LUMENS has quickly emerged as a force in progressive metalcore, known for their emotionally charged songwriting, high-impact live performances, and fearless commitment to authenticity. Since their debut in 2022 with HNSN, the band—featuring Rhys Jackson Stars (vocals), George Carey (guitar), Henry Scott (bass), and Miles Sly (drums)—has gained national recognition through editorial playlisting (Homegrown + Heavy, Fresh Finds Heavy, Breaking Metal) and regular airplay on Triple J. Their music is a declaration of raw emotion, embracing the chaos, struggle, and resilience that define the human experience.
Their self-titled debut EP is a visceral journey through these themes, blending unrelenting aggression with haunting melodies to create a sound that is both punishing and evocative. Lyrically, the record delves into internal battles, societal defiance, and the relentless pursuit of identity, capturing the catharsis of resistance and self-discovery.
