The Wembley Stadium at the Ark Tour
When JD and the Crabs first started 17 years ago, our aim was to one day open for the Rolling Stones at Wembley Stadium. Surprisingly, that never happened, due entirely of course to the Stones not playing there again after their 1990 Wembley gig.
After all, Mick Jagger did once call us ‘The greatest geriatric rock band from the eastern suburbs of Adelaide with the word Crabs in their name’, so we were a shoe-in for the gig if it happened.
The new version of the Crabs, The Chili Crabs, have decided that they can’t wait around for Mick and the boys to get the Wembley gig together, so we have done the next best thing and booked the Top of the Ark for Sunday 20 October 2024 for a gig without them… Mick has been calling, but we are not answering.
The Chili Crabs will be playing their pub rock focused sets designed to get you up on your feet early and staying there until the gig is over (or oxygen is required.)
But you will still get the Crabs’ versatile blend of 60’s, 70’s and 80’s blues, rock, pop and jazz that we are known for.
So, join the Crabs at the Ark as we put the sin in Sinday at our ‘Wembley at the Ark Tour’.
We look forward to seeing you there… (Not you Mick).
Doors open 2pm, Chilli Crabs from 3pm
