The show will feature a set from Allan MacBean, Bear Phase (Luka Kilgariff-Johnson), Jachin Mee, and short snarl (Thea Martin). We’re so excited to share this special show with you. Wake In Fright is a Tarntanya-based art-folk band. They seek to examine the complexities and contradictions of modern life through the sonic and lyrical lens of folk music. Drawing on influences from the sonic sensibilities of the 60s and 70s folk scene through to the alternative pop scene of today, Wake in Fright strives to create evocative and intimate arrangements. The band features Sam Wilson on vocals and guitar, Luka Kilgariff-Johnson on electric guitar and banjo, Thea Martin on violin, Allan McBean on Upright Bass, and Jachin Mee on drums and backing vocals. Wake In Fright self-released the EP ‘Wake In Fright Are A Band In The Room’ in 2022, the full-length album ‘It Can Happen Here’ in 2023 and ‘Touch Hands Pack Sting’ in 2024, which they toured to Tokyo, Japan. Their latest single ‘You Deserve’ is out now.
