More info!
Riley Catherall
Riley Catherall is a Singer-Songwriter based in Melbourne whose graceful trajectory into the Australian Alt-Country Music world has not gone unnoticed. Riley has built a credible status as a one of the country’s most promising songwriters through his poetic sincerity and alluring live shows.
Riley released his debut full-length album in late 2021: “When I Go” is an amalgamation of songs about leaving, losing love, and finding somewhere to settle down.
“The Light, The Beautiful Liar” is Riley Catherall’s second full-length record released in mid 2024. Singles “Bark At The Moon” and “Coming Down, Coming Over” flagship this collection of songs about the kind of love that desperately tries to endure the unwelcoming stark light of the morning. A tour of the UK and Scandinavia provided those who attended an insight into the workings of a prolific songwriter in the sophomore stage of his career.
One of the standout features of Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Riley Catherall’s debut album is that it is the sound of an artist in consummate control of his craft. – Chris Familton, Post To Wire
Ella Ion (support)
Creating honest art that touches its audience is the drive behind Ella Ion’s music. Hailing from Kaurna land (Adelaide, South Australia), Ella Ion is an indie/folk-rock singer/songwriter who began her craft at the age of 10 after being exposed to the cultural and formative shifts that arose from living and travelling across the globe for a year.
She released her debut album, “Waiting” in March of 2023, which showcases her ever-shifting dynamic between raw, delicate country-folk and gritty, post-rock inspired arrangements.
Ella Ion released her debut folk/post-rock album “Waiting” in March of 2023 and has spent the latter part of 2024 beginning an exciting era of interstate touring with her full band, playing the likes of Bigsound in Brisbane and SXSW Sydney. Ella is currently recording her next full-length album and has big plans for future releases.
