Over five years ago, we started Chelsea Manor, and after these years of making music together, we’ve decided it’s time to close this chapter. Words can’t capture just how life-changing this journey has been for all of us. We’ve had the honor of meeting so many kind and supportive people, playing on stages we once only dreamed of, and sharing every moment with people we consider family. It’s been an experience we’ll cherish forever.
This decision to end the band was unanimous. As time passes, we grow, and life’s priorities shift, so this felt like the right time to let Chelsea Manor go and make space for new adventures.
Though it’s bittersweet, the decision has been embraced, with deep gratitude for the incredible years shared together. There’s excitement for the future and anticipation to see what each person will accomplish in their next chapter, whether in music or other ventures.
That said, we couldn’t just say goodbye and leave it at that, so we’re releasing one last song, “Hindsight,” and playing one final show to send it all off.
Recorded in 2022 alongside “Predator,” this song—our most collaborative to date and our personal favorite—captures the essence of learning from the past without getting lost in it and grasping every opportunity as it comes your way.
Our farewell show will be at our home 400 kilometers from home: the Crown and Anchor, on December 13th, with Looch and Newgate Crowd joining us. It will be the last chance to see us live, and it would mean the world to have you there with us.
“Don’t let time pass you by… life’s a rollercoaster, so hold on tight.”
With love,
Chelsea Manor
