When Puccini died in 1924, the news reached Rome during a performance of La Boheme. The performance was immediately stopped and the shocked audience told the sad tidings. On the centenary of his passing, we pay homage to one of opera’s greats, with selections from his many masterpieces. Puccini’s lush orchestration and dramatic libretti created some of the most memorable melodies of the stage. You will struggle not to weep at the emotive arias we present!
This concert celebration features music from Puccini’s greatest operas, including La Boheme, Tosca and Madama Butterfly.
