2024 just got a few decibels louder as hip-hop pioneers, Public Enemy announced that they will bring their ‘On The Grid – 35th Anniversary Tour’ to Australia this October.

Harnessed by the rebelliousness and ferocity of their music, this tour will be the first time in 10 years since the New York-bred group has blasted their lyrics on Australian shores.

With such a clear response to the turbulent times of the 80s, the group were an integral and revolutionary force throughout the golden age of hip-hop. Public Enemy gave voice to collective anger about racism, poverty and police brutality with huge hits such as ‘Harder Than You Think’, ‘He Got Game’ and the raucous Black anthem that defined a nation, ‘Fight the Power’. Where there is injustice, Public Enemy will have something to say.

Joining Public Enemy across Australia are hip-hop duo A.B. Original.

The tour kicks off on October 2 the Red Hill Auditorium in Perth, before heading to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre on October 4, Melbourne’s John Cain Arena on October 5, the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on October 9, Newcastle’s NEC on October 11, before heading to Eatons Hill Outdoor on October 12.
