Sturt Avenue are launching our new song ‘Passenger Side’, a lil number about riding around town watching the world falling apart, and are putting together an evening of warm heartfelt folk to celebrate. Saturday, August 17th, free entry, music from 7pm. Come hang!
ABOUT THE MUSIC:
Sturt Avenue is an indie folk family band led by SCALA award-winning singer/songwriter Bryn Soden. Hailing from the Adelaide hills, Bryn has been crafting heartfelt indie folk songs that explore themes of love, loss, and a peculiar nostalgia for days that may never have truly existed. For this intimate evening of songs, the Sturt Avenue band will consist of Bryn’s father, John, and dear friends Bryce Lehmann on drums and Dave Thompson on keys and accordion.
Katie Pomery is a singer songwriter on Kaurna land who places the small things in the bigger picture. Having supported the likes of Hatchie (BNE), Haley Mary (MELB) and Jack Davies (PER), Katie is excited for more people around Australia to hear her music.
Maisie B is a singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist who weaves together the favourite elements of folk, jazz and indie pop into songs that are texturally rich and emotionally charged. Maisie has an expansive musical resume; she has been performing her original music in Adelaide since 2017, initially as a soloist, and has supported many notable local acts.
