Scott Brown (UK)

Scott Brown is a Scottish DJ and producer,now living in the UK, who’s personal DJ / production journey started early 1991.Scott Brown produces and plays a heap of different genres, although he is most associated with bouncy techno & UK hardcore. His music ranges from happy hardcore, through hard trance, UK hardcore all the way thru to gabber. He is the founder of the massive ‘Evolution Records’, which started in 1994 & is the UK’s longest running hardcore label

Scott Brown has produced music on his own record labels (Evolution Records, Evolution Plus, Evolved, Evolution Gold, Poosh, Screwdriver and Twisted Vinyl), and under a range of monikers including Plus System, The Scotchman, Interstate b numerous releases on well known Dutch labels such as Mokum, Rotterdam Records and Combined Forces (Dwarf / Babyboom) to name a few.

records such as ‘Bass-X : Hardcore Disco’ and ‘Bass Reaction : Technophobia’ reaching in excess of 6000+ sales, numbers that were unheard of at the time.

Scott released tune after tune, pushing his new sound under a variety of guises, helping forge Evolution as one of the main contenders in the World hardcore scene. Due to heavy demand for this new music, Scott started more ‘off-shoot’ labels such as Twisted Vinyl, Screwdriver, Evolution Gold and loads more, solidifying the label as one of the world market leaders & a brand which many other labels tried to copy. All of this followed by classic Rave anthems such has the massive ‘Now is the Time’, the ‘Equazion’,Pilgrim’ and the worldwide hit ‘Elysium’, Scott was generating new music for a new generation of Ravers. .!

Evolution records and Scott Brown have been instrumental in shaping the hardcore sound we hear today.

Regular trips to Australia, Japan, USA, Canada & Europe, with Holland nearly becoming his home away from home.

Scott has continued to push boundaries of hardcore as well as tearing down ‘barriers’ between genres. Creating his own style of music.

Scott brown (UK) will only be playing 2 parties in Australia this coming November, System 6 in Adelaide on Fri 8th & Brisbane on Sat 9th, his only 2 Australian gigs for 2024
