The Nation Two (Naarm/Melbourne) with Church Moms and Fever Dream at The Exeter!

Sat 24 May @ 8:00 pm

Naarm power-chord couple The Nation Two come back to Tarntanya/Adelaide after a packed out Grace Emily show last November.

The Nation Two started playing shows in late 2022 and have been lucky enough to play gigs with bands like Chimers (NSW), BUDD, Tape/Off (QLD), Placement (SA), Baba Yaga (WA), Affordable Repayments and Last Quokka (WA). Consisting of multiple fuzz pedals and singalong vocals and harmonies, TN2 channel a 90s punk/grunge vibe through a lens of more recent fuzzy/noisy/catchy bands like Ovlov and Metz. Their first single “Read The Room”, was self-produced and mastered by Bob Weston of the almighty Shellac, who has worked with such artists as Nirvana, LCD Soundsystem and Idlewild. The second single “Durry Pit (Ode to the Old Bar)” was released in June, is self-produced and mastered by John Lee at Phaedra Studios (Blake Scott/Adalita/Laura Jean).

They’ve just finished recording their debut album with renowned producer Matt Chow (Rolling Blackouts CF, Bench Press, Deaf Wish), with the next single coming out in a couple of months.

They’re extremely excited to be playing alongside electro queercore punks Church Moms (who designed the amazing poster!) and queer emo surf rock angels Fever Dream.

As a band with femme/nb/queer members, TN2 always want everyone to be welcome at their shows except for dickheads.

This show takes place on the stolen lands of the Kaurna. Sovereignty was never ceded.
