Folk ‘Til Ya Punk Records are the crew behind Hobart’s long running folk-punk festival HOBOFOPO, and they’re proud to be presenting The Taxpayers national tour in Australia this November/December.
The Tapayers are a long-running experimental DIY genre-bending punk band that started in Portland, Oregon in 2007. After an eight year hiatus, The Taxpayers have made a dream comeback in 2024, selling out shows all across the USA and seeing their spotify stats jump from 500k monthly listeners to 1mil. They will top off this stellar year with their first ever international tour, to Australia.
Their acclaimed 2012 concept album about the rise and fall of a fictional baseball player, “God, Forgive These Bastards” was widely considered one of the best albums of the year, it features the song “I Love You Like An Alcoholic” and was even turned into a musical stage production.
Their Adelaide/Tartanya show will be at the Crown and Anchor Hotel, with St Judes and Brendan hill on support.
