VELVET PARADE are a band recently formed by Lime Spiders’ RIPLEY HOOD. They spent 2024 supporting the likes of Harry Howard, The Sand Pebbles, Buddhadatta (Jpn), Cambodian Space Project and more. Now, before heading off on their first overseas tour (Japan), Ripley brings Velvet Parade to play their first show in his home town of Adelaide.
This 5-piece dabble in an exciting blend of noir-rock ala These Immortal Souls, Died Pretty and Wet Taxis with a dynamic live energy not often seen these days!
Support is from Adelaide’s own dark-wave post-punkers THE COLD FIELD who have released three critically acclaimed albums on German label Cold Transmission Music. They’ll be playing some new material from their upcoming fourth album. Openers will be ELECTRIC BADGER.
